DESVIX 1.3 marks a major step forward in how architecture is experienced. With the introduction of Real-Time Path Tracing and a range of visual improvements, projects feel more natural, immersive, and easier to understand. Alongside the new rendering technology, this release also introduces smoother materials, improved presentation tools, collaborative enhancements, and performance optimizations that make everyday work in Desvix even more enjoyable.

Real-Time Path Tracing

The centerpiece of DESVIX 1.3 is Real-Time Path Tracing—our biggest visual improvement to date. By simulating the way light behaves in the real world, projects now feel significantly more natural, with realistic shadows, reflections, indirect lighting, and materials.

The result isn’t just a better-looking scene. It becomes easier to understand proportions, atmosphere, and the true character of a space long before construction begins.

Together in Real Time

Architecture is rarely experienced alone, and neither should your projects be.

Every visual improvement introduced in DESVIX 1.3 is available inside our shared collaborative environment. Architects, developers, clients, municipalities, and other stakeholders can now explore the same highly realistic project together, discuss changes, and make decisions with greater confidence.

Reflective Surfaces

Reflective materials now respond much more naturally to their surroundings. Glass, polished floors, metals, and other glossy surfaces accurately capture light and reflections, adding another layer of realism throughout every scene.

Together with Real-Time Path Tracing, these improvements help projects feel less like visualizations and more like places that already exist.

Realistic Lighting

Light defines how we experience architecture. With the new rendering engine, natural light now behaves much closer to reality, filling interiors with accurate indirect illumination and creating believable lighting conditions throughout every project.

Whether you’re evaluating daylight in a living room or presenting an interior to a client, every scene becomes easier to read and understand.

Smooth Shading

Imported geometry now looks cleaner and more refined. Smooth Shading reduces visible artifacts and creates more natural transitions across surfaces, making models appear polished without additional editing.

It’s a subtle improvement that makes a noticeable difference across every project.

Triplanar Mapping

Applying materials is now much more forgiving. Triplanar Mapping automatically projects textures onto complex geometry, eliminating stretched or distorted materials—even on models without proper UV mapping.

Instead of spending time fixing textures, you can focus on presenting your design exactly as intended.

Architectural Camera - Parallelism

The new Architectural Camera introduces 2-Point Perspective, keeping vertical lines perfectly straight while preserving a natural field of view.

Whether you’re creating presentation images, marketing visuals, or client reviews, architectural compositions now look cleaner, more professional, and closer to traditional architectural photography.

New Library Assets – Kids

Architecture comes to life through people. DESVIX 1.3 expands the built-in asset library with new child characters, making parks, schools, residential projects, and public spaces feel more vibrant and authentic.
