2025 was a year defined by creativity, collaboration, and continuous growth.
Throughout the year, we worked on a wide range of projects — from early concepts to fully realized digital experiences. Each project challenged us to think deeper, design smarter, and push our craft forward.
This recap is a look back at what we built, what we learned, and how each project helped shape DESVIX into what it is today. Behind every interface, line of code, and visual detail lies a shared goal: creating meaningful digital solutions that last.
January - Sekyra Flowers
Sekyra Flowers is set to become one of Prague’s most iconic landmarks. Four sculptural residential towers, designed by globally renowned Studio Libeskind under Daniel Libeskind’s creative direction, will form the centerpiece of the new Rohan City district on the Vltava River. The project is developed by Sekyra Group. In addition to Studio Libeskind, the central phase involves several prominent Czech studios: edit architects, Schindler Seko architekti, CHYBIK + KRISTOF, JAKUB CIGLER ARCHITEKTI, and MS Architekti, which serves as the architect of record and coordination hub. Together, these studios ensure that architecture, urban planning, and public space design align with a unified vision for a modern, livable district.
The towers are conceived as “blossoms” rising above the urban landscape. They are clad in shimmering metallic panels and crowned with green roofs and terraces. At their base, a new civic square, named after philosopher Simone Weil, will serve as a vibrant public space. Beyond the striking design, Sekyra Flowers stands out for its use of advanced DESVIX virtual visualization, which allows stakeholders to experience the project as a fully navigable digital twin. This approach enables rapid assessment of urban context, building heights, public spaces, and sightlines. As a result, decisions can be made more confidently and efficiently.
February - Nový Opatov
Nový Opatov is emerging near the Opatov metro station as a new urban quarter, developed by FINEP. The project transforms a previously underused brownfield site into a dynamic, mixed‑use district designed to offer housing, services, leisure, and workspaces — all in one neighborhood.
At the heart of Nový Opatov will be a 3,000 m² public square designed as a central meeting place for residents, workers and visitors. Around this square, 28 retail units including cafés, restaurants and shops will provide daily amenities and entertainment. The plan also includes green parks, walking and cycling paths, children’s playgrounds and outdoor seating — aiming to blend nature with urban living.
March - Energotrans Mělník, Simulating Green Spaces to Meet EIA Standards
On the outskirts of Mělník, a landmark power plant is undergoing one of the Czech Republic’s most ambitious infrastructure modernisations. Owned by ČEZ, the project aims to shift to gas-fired units with four new chimneys—an overhaul designed to run through 2030 and cost approximately 13 billion CZK. While this upgrade promises cleaner energy, it sparked a critical question: how would such a vast industrial complex fit into the surrounding landscape?
DESVIX began by building a detailed virtual twin of the revamped Mělník plant. Rather than hiding behind technical schematics, we integrated these models directly into interactive web-based platforms. Stakeholders—from local authorities to environmental watchdogs—could explore the plant’s new structures in true-to-life scale.

May - Florenc 21 - Turning 250+ Design Ideas into 16 Tested Visions — All in One Scene with DESVIX
DESVIX was used in Penta Real Estate’s Florenc 21 design process, where innovative design ideas were collected, compared, and refined for one of Prague’s most visionary urban regeneration projects. Florenc 21 is a large-scale urban transformation initiative in central Prague, tasked with converting a long-neglected brownfield into a vibrant, mixed-use neighbourhood that reconnects Karlín with Nové Město and enhances the public realm.
For the Florenc 21 design workflow, DESVIX served as a central platform where 16 competition design proposals were uploaded and explored within a single unified scene — enabling jurors, architects, and stakeholders to: interact with multiple spatial concepts in context, test combinations of ideas across different parts of the site, compare proposals side-by-side in immersive 3D, streamline communication and decision-making through shared visualization.
This approach made it possible to evaluate diverse architectural directions and ultimately select the four winning design proposals.
B01 — ADEPT (DK) + ohboi (CZ)
A contemporary office block focused on strong urban integration, high-quality public space, and a lively ground floor connected to the surrounding city fabric.
B02 — Aulík Fišer Architekti + Machar & Teichman + studio reactor + Partero (CZ)
A residential block emphasizing livability, human scale, and a clear transition between public and private spaces within the new district.
B03 — edit! architects (CZ) + A69 architekti (CZ) + NL Architects (NL)
A mixed-use urban block designed to activate street life through active ground floors and pedestrian-friendly public spaces.
B04 — LAN architecture (FR) + P2PA (PL)
A mixed-use development combining housing, hotel, and retail, shaping a diverse and vibrant urban environment.
June - Nakladove Nadrazi Zizkov + Radlicka
This scene brings together two distinct yet connected projects set within the evolving landscape of Prague — Nákladové nádraží Žižkov and Radlická. Both projects reflect different approaches to urban development, while sharing a common vision of transformation, sustainability, and long-term value for the city.
The Nákladové nádraží Žižkov project was developed in collaboration with Mr. Hlaváček from the Prague City Hall. Once a key industrial landmark, the site is now envisioned as a new urban district that respects its historical significance while opening space for contemporary architecture, public life, and cultural activity. Our work focused on translating this vision into a clear and compelling digital presentation that communicates both scale and ambition.
The Radlická project, created for ČSOB in cooperation with Mr. Šedivý, represents a different typology — a modern business and urban environment shaped by functionality, accessibility, and thoughtful design. Set within a rapidly developing part of the city, the project highlights how corporate architecture can integrate seamlessly into Prague’s urban fabric while contributing to its future growth.
Presented together, these projects form a unified scene that illustrates Prague as a living, evolving city — one where heritage, innovation, and responsible development coexist. Through this work, we aimed to capture not only individual projects, but also the broader story of Prague’s transformation.
July - Florenc 21 — A DESVIX Show
After a full year of delivering exciting and complex projects for clients, the DESVIX team decided to pause and create something purely our own. Florenc 21 became a show project — a space to explore ideas freely, push the platform further, and demonstrate what DESVIX can achieve when creativity is unrestricted.
This internal project focuses on a visionary transformation of the Florenc area, including a high-rise building and a detailed study of urban relationships across Prague. From long-distance views and skyline impact to pedestrian flows and city-scale connections, the project brings together multiple layers of urban complexity within a single immersive scene.
By working without external constraints, we were able to test advanced workflows, experiment with scale, and refine how DESVIX handles dense urban environments — all while telling a compelling architectural story.
August - Atrium
For a live open scene project, we developed a public space revitalization concept in Žďár nad Sázavou. The project was created for MS Architects and later presented directly to the municipal council, allowing decision-makers to explore the design in real time.
The mayor was so impressed by the interactive DESVIX scene that he arranged for his own license and now reviews the project from his office, exploring every detail at his own pace. This initiative demonstrates how DESVIX can bridge the gap between architectural proposals and real-world decision-making, giving stakeholders a tangible, immersive experience of the design before any physical work begins.
September - Kolbenova Park
For the Kolbenova Park project in Prague, the DESVIX team created an internal live scene to support MS Architects in exploring and communicating the design. Unlike client-facing projects, the model was not intended for the developer (CPI) but served as a powerful tool for team collaboration, allowing architects to visualize relationships, test spatial arrangements, and discuss design solutions interactively.
This approach enabled the team to fully understand massing, park layouts, and urban context before any external presentation, and it demonstrated how DESVIX can enhance internal decision-making and design coordination for large-scale residential developments.
October - Hotel U Sixtů
Hotel U Sixtů is one of the most ambitious reconstruction projects in Prague’s historic core. A complex of eight heritage-listed buildings just steps from Old Town Square is being transformed into a world-class luxury hotel. Designed by MS architekti and supported by advanced digital technologies, the project seamlessly connects centuries-old architecture with a contemporary design process powered by BIM and interactive 3D visualization.
The project demonstrates how sensitive heritage reconstruction can benefit from modern tools — not only in design and coordination, but also in communication, presentation, and decision-making.
November - Jesenice Center
The town of Jesenice is undergoing a transformative urban rebirth. A visionary project called New Jesenice Center now promises to turn a loosely developed residential suburb into a modern, sustainable, and livable downtown. The initiative goes far beyond classic building planning — combining advanced digital modeling, careful urban design, and attention to environmental impact, Jesenice aims to give its residents a real heart of the city.
DESVIX effectively connected architectural vision with municipal expectations — ensuring the final proposal is both feasible and future-proof.
December - ZOO
Ostrava Zoo and Botanical Park is one of the largest and most dynamic zoological gardens in the Czech Republic, home to hundreds of species and thousands of animals across its 100‑hectare site in Slezská Ostrava. Over the past several years, the zoo has undergone significant transformation with new enclosures, naturalistic habitats, and modern exhibits that elevate animal welfare and visitor experience.
To help the design team and zoological staff better understand spatial relationships and visitor flows, DESVIX was brought in to create an interactive visualization of the pavilion concept. Instead of a static model, DESVIX allowed everyone involved to step into the design, explore volumes in context, and see how animal spaces, circulation paths, and visitor viewpoints relate to one another in real time — long before construction is complete.
During one of the initial presentations, a memorable comment from the zoo team was: “Finally, we understand what we’re looking at!” — a testament to how immersive visualization can clarify complex design intentions and align multidisciplinary stakeholders.

2025 was an incredibly exciting year for us, full of inspiring projects and new challenges. Looking ahead to 2026, we can’t wait to continue this journey. What can you expect from us?
